How Astrology can Influence Your Career!

As a career and life coach I have some clients, who regularly consult astrologers in their major career decisions. In fact some of them come to me after consulting an astrologer, who tells them about impending problems with their career and who tells them what is in store for them because of the how the planets and stars are aligned in their chart.

When I meet with clients who bring to me a predisposed view of what is going to happen to their career because of the predictions they just heard from someone they trust, I take a different look at their career, first from a diagnostic view. I often find that many get into career trouble, not because of the planetary alignment, but because how they failed to take care of some obvious issues that were critical to their welfare. Going forward, I can give them guidance on what this means to them, how they are going to remedy the situation, and how they are going to get back on track, despite their astrological predictions.

What I often find is that some clients take the astrological predictions as an absolute certainty. They fail to realize that their fate is in their own hands, not in how the planets are aligned or how someone reads what that means. Astrology is not a science but a belief system. You can make your belief come true by merely surrendering to it or you can create your own destiny by taking charge of your situation, regardless of what you think your horoscope has in store for you. So, here is the guidance I give my clients:

  1. After analyzing their situation I tell my clients the reason why their situation is the way it is and what they could have done to change the outcome. This is merely for future learning to prevent a similar experience.
  2. I do not tell them to disregard their horoscope, but tell them that their free will always prevails. I ask them to take charge of their situation and start working on ways to get back on track, regardless of what the astrological predictions are (they are often non-specific).
  3. If you are a strong believer in your horoscope then use that knowledge to be vigilant about what is in store for you and act accordingly, without surrendering your free will to the “inevitable” outcome.
  4. Yet another way to look at a horoscope is to look at it the same way that you do weather prediction. This is a statistical model and not a deterministic one. If hundreds of people with an identical zodiac chart as yours were to use astrology to predict their future, then a large number of them MAY have an outcome predicted by the horoscope, which MAY NOT include you. This way of thinking can allow you to chart your own course of action to move ahead without surrendering to the “inevitability of fate.”
  5. Do not constantly check with your astrologer when times are bad, but focus your energies and time on creating an action plan that allows you to take charge of your own destiny, instead.

Good luck!
